Side Azura PADI dive center is founded in 2010 under the name ‘Turkuaz Side’. The dive center is since 2012 known as Side Azura PADI dive center and located in Side Sorgun, Turkey.
Sinan has had a long career in the diving world, and had for many years the deep desire to start a dive center of his own.
Jazz comes from the Netherlands and worked in the world of an ICT helpdesk at an international law firm till 2009. Besides her work for Side Azura she’s nowadays working as a watercolor artist with of course a deep rooted love for nature.
She met Sinan during holidays and discovered through him the wonderful world of diving. After her first experience, she rapidly started to desire a diving career as well.
Together they have build the dive center in 2010 and are working together ever since. Later on the team got help from Nathalie to maintain the contact with German customers.

WE LIKE TO DO IT DIFFERENTLY
As you might know, some dive centers will take you in the morning on their boat where you should spend all day with dozens of other guests. In the afternoon, when the twilight comes up, you are deposited back into the harbour.
So you lose precious time and beginners are not able to try a dive first in the pool. Our method therefore is different.
We keep it personal and do not participate in the ‘mass production’ as other centers might do. If you’re a beginner you’ll need to go to the pool to try it first. But even with this extra service it will not take more than 2 hours.
We created our diving options especially for you so that you still have plenty of time for other activities.Perhaps you dive with other vacationers, but the group will always stay small..
In this way we guarantee the service we’d like to provide and we can ensure that you receive the attention that you deserve. In the end, we want you to have a great dive whilst sticking to all the safety requirements.
OUR PURPOSE AND METHOD OF WORKING
Our main goal is to ensure that you, as our guest, get an unforgettable Scuba dive experience. You are on a well deserved vacation and time is precious.
This is why we try to accommodate to the best time that fits you. When you decide to go diving with us, or to follow a course with us, you will not lose a whole day. Our schedule is highly flexible, so we adapt our schedule to your wishes. You’re able to do a course in 3-5 days.
WHAT WE OFFER
We are a young and developing company and we provide all kind of services. Beside the tryouts for beginners, we have interesting packages for adults and youngsters starting with the age of 8. We offer several possibilities for novice and certified divers and complete course programs from CMAS and PADI as well.
You can also rely on us for diving equipment. We sell professional diving masks, snorkel sets, fins and new + second hand wet-suits (both long-suits and shorties).
A NICE, CLEAN LOCATION
The coast of Side is on multiple locations the proud owner of the ‘blue flag’. The Blue Flag is an international environmental brand which is annually awarded to beaches and marinas.
The Blue Flag works towards sustainable development of beaches and marinas through strict criteria dealing with Water Quality, Environmental Education and Information, Environmental Management, and Safety and Other Services.
The staff at the dive center are proud that they too can contribute to keep everything clean and tidy!
We can offer all information in Turkish, English, German, Dutch and Russian.
All our locations are nearby the dive center and easily accessible with our boat. The transfer time varies between 3 and 10-15 minutes depending on the diving location. Read here more about our locations.

Bookings and payments
Booking / Reservation
- If you wish to make an online reservation, it is necessary to make arrangements for a deposit, which must be paid at least 48 hours before the start of the program.
- The (remaining) balance can be paid in cash at the dive center before the start of the program.
- Guests who wish to make an advance reservation will receive an e-mail with the payment specifications.
- It is recommended to book the dive in advance during the high season. (June / July / August / October) The date and time can be changed if necessary in consultation with the dive center.
- For online bookings and reservations we require a deposit of 50% of the total amount.
- You can pay the full amount or only the deposit.
- Payments can be made by IBAN bank transfer to our Dutch bank account, via PayPal (including credit card payment), Wise transfer or by cash payment at the dive center. Due to the high costs, we charge administration fees when you wish to pay by PayPal and credit card. (< 100 – 5 euro | > 100 – 10 euro | > 500 – 15 euro)
- The total amount of the activity must be paid before the start of the program.
- We do not have a pin device at the dive center, therefor we cannot accept credit / debit cards on location.
- Cash payments can be accepted in Euro, Turkish Lira, GP Pounds and US Dollars.
- We will consult the Euro exchange rate if you would like to pay in another currency than Euro.
- You will receive a confirmation message as soon as your deposit arrived. This confirms also that we added your booking to our calendar
Scuba diving is a great activity and a fun gift to give and receive!
It’s possible to surprise your loved ones with a gift voucher. This is how it works:
- Don’t forget to send us the name and e-mail address from the receiver of the digital gift card.
- Tell us if we need to send a gift card with the amount shown on it, or the package program if the receiver is not allowed to see the price.
- The gift voucher is not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
We work together with a transfer service. It’s possible to book transfer from and to your hotel.
The full amount can be paid to your driver in cash only, or you can pay the full amount by IBAN bank transfer to us prior the dive date. In this case we manage it with your driver.
General Terms and Conditions
Changes to your reservation
Side Azura dive center’s refund policy endeavors to accommodate the needs of guests as much as possible in accordance with the following guidelines. You have the option to change the date of the activity in consultation with Side Azura dive center, free of charge and subject to weather and availability, with a 24-hour notice.
- If the guest does not attend (no-show) at the scheduled start time of the dive trip/course or cancels less than 24 hours before a course or dive, or joins the activity after its start, or leaves prior to its completion, no refund will be made unless otherwise agreed between Side Azura dive center and the guests undertaking only a portion of the course or dive.
- If the guest cancels his / her activity, the deposit made is not transferable to another person.
- If a guest cancels his / her diving course, a refund will not be issued for the eLearning or course books provided.
- If the cancellation by the guest occurs more than 24 hours prior to the start of the scheduled dive trip or course, a full refund will be issued.
- Attendance at the boat or beach with full dive gear indicates the start of the dive activity. From that point on, refunds are not possible.
Cancellation by Side Azura
All our activities are highly dependent on the weather and Side Azura dive center reserves the right to cancel or postpone the activity in any circumstances. In cases where Side Azura dive center cannot make the booked tour, the guest will receive back all deposits paid to Side Azura dive center or the guest will be offered an alternative day or time.
If an alternative day or time is declined by the guest, Side Azura dive center reserves the right to deduct any administrative costs resulting from such transactions.
Changes in Locations
While every effort is made to adhere to schedules and itineraries, Side Azura dive center reserves the right to change dive schedules and itineraries at any time if it is in the best interest of the guest or when forced by weather conditions.
Side Azura dive center is not responsible for any compensation to the guest if Side Azura dive center is forced to cancel or in any way due to force majeure, namely war, riots, civil strike, labor dispute, terrorist activities, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, traffic congestion or other external circumstances beyond Side Azura dive center’s control.
Diving course refund of unused portion of the course
Multi-day Diving Course refund policy allows for cancellation without charge at the end of each day of the course for a full refund of the portion of the course that the guest has not completed at that time.
If the weather on the day of the diving trip / open water diving of a course prevents us from having a safe and enjoyable experience the guest will be informed that the trip will be cancelled or postponed to another day. Please note that in the event of light rain without strong winds and high waves, Side Azura dive center will NOT cancel dive trips or courses as this does not prevent us from having an enjoyable and safe dive trip. Side Azura dive center is not liable for unforeseen adverse weather conditions, involving rough seas and poor visibility.
Authority on Tour / Waiver of Tour
The decision of the Instructor / Divemaster and other staff employed by Side Azura dive center is final on all matters that may compromise the safety of the group. Side Azura dive center is not responsible or liable for any guest committing an illegal or wrongful / unlawful act.
Guests may be excluded from the trip/course without any refund of the diving activity. If Side Azura dive center considers the guest not suitable for the diving activity, it may, at its discretion, cancel the booking of such a guest, if such guest causes danger, nuisance or annoyance to other guests. If guests are found to be under the influence of alcohol/drugs prior to the activity, the booking will be cancelled without refund.
We understand that you may find that the dive activity is not as expected or does not appear to be for the guest. The instructor may decide that the guest needs additional one-on-one training to complete a dive program/course. In this case, the guest will be offered to return at a later date. This is at the dive instructors discretion.
Refunds will not be issued if after the start of the activity it becomes apparent that the guest wishes to cancel the dive, regardless of the reason, or if the dive instructor recommends returning at a different time.
Responsibility and Liability
Side Azura dive center and its employees are not responsible or liable for any injury, loss, accident, damage, delay, omission, irregularity or non-compliance that occurs in connection with these arrangements.
The guest understands and accepts all risks associated with all activities. The irresponsible actions of divers can have a negative impact on their fellow divers and the diving community. As a result, unsafe, illegal or irresponsible behavior will not be tolerated.
Please keep in mind that the above guidelines are what you would expect as a worst case scenario. Side Azura dive center will make every effort to keep cancellation/change fees to a minimum. Each cancellation case will be reviewed individually by our management team.
Requirements for certified divers
All certified divers booking a diving trip at Side Azura dive center must show proof of certification (through their relevant training agency) in order to participate in the activity. If the guest is unable to show proof of certification in any way, they will not be able to dive at sites for certified divers and at the applicable discounts for certified divers.
The guest acknowledges being aware of the intended dive trip/course and hereby confirms that he or she is medically fit and in good health and able to embark on the activity/course. Any guest with a pre-existing medical condition or illness must declare the true nature of this condition prior to commencement of the program. In the case of a medical illness / condition, the guest is required to provide a medical certificate from a family physician attesting that he / she is “medically fit to dive and/or snorkel.” Side Azura dive center and its representatives will treat all information strictly confidential.
Brochures, leaflets, website, emails and advertising
Information contained in all brochures, leaflets, website, emails and advertising is given in good faith by Side Azura dive center and these are based on the latest information at the date of publication.
Side Azura dive center reserves the right to change any of the facilities, vehicles or boats described in the brochures, leaflets, website, emails or other advertising without being liable for compensation or refund. While every effort is made to keep the prices advertised in the brochure, leaflets, website, emails and advertising, Side Azura dive center reserves the right to increase prices at any time, due to unforeseen increases or exchange rate fluctuations to which it may be exposed. Surcharges will not be applied after confirmation of bookings.
Photographic and Videographic Material
Guests should be aware that the team of Side Azura dive center may take photos or films of the guests during the preparation or execution of the dive, and Side Azura dive center reserves the right to use such material for advertising or brochure production without obtaining permission and without payment to the guest.
Most divers are well familiar with DAN insurance (Divers Alert Network). Side Azura dive center does not use the DAN insurance, but all divers are insured through ERGO, which is similar to DAN.
